2023 PRC4ECD Meeting
The 2023 Pacific Regional Council for Early Childhood Development (PRC4ECD) Ministers meeting was convened at the Sofitel Resort & Spa on 24 February, 2023. The meeting was chaired by the Honourable Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo, Minister of Finance of Samoa, and the Honorable Lynda Tabuya, the Minister of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Fiji, supported by the Representative of UNICEF Pacific, Mr. Jonathan Veitch, as the Council Secretariat.
2020 PRC4ECD Meeting
The 2020 Pacific Regional Council for Early Childhood Development (PRC4ECD) Meeting was convened virtually on 27 November 2020.
With the overall objective of strengthening countries’ commitments to ECD in the face of COVID-19, the outputs of the meeting were: endorsement of an out-of-session paper for the Forum Economic Ministers’ Meeting (FEMM) on ECD investments; endorsement of the PRC4ECD 10-year Workplan; election of Co-Chairs of PRC4ECD and; updates from selected countries on ECD.

2023 Pacific ECD Forum
The 2023 Pacific Early Childhood Development (ECD) Forum, with the theme Building a Resilient Blue Pacific Through Early Childhood Development, was a 3-day high-level forum, 22-24 February, in Fiji for Pacific Island governments to discuss early childhood investments as a critical component of building resilience to climate change, natural disasters and other emergencies.
2019 Pacific ECD Forum
The 2019 Pacific Early Childhood Development (ECD) Forum, held at Nadi, Fiji on 23-25 October,was a three-day, high-level meeting of government ministers and officials from across the Pacific to discuss how to better support the optimal development of young children. Organized by UNICEF, with funding support from the Government of New Zealand, the Forum progressed the initiatives of the first regional conference on ECD in 2017 which introduced the Pasifika Call to Action on ECD.

The 2017 Pacific Early Childhood Development Conference, with its theme Moving Forward with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Early Childhood,was a three-day high-level conference for ministers and key government officials across Pacific Island Countries (PICs) to further their understanding of and commitment towards high-quality, equitable, and inclusive early childhood development (ECD).
